I see clients in-person and online.
Emotional availability does not require physical proximity
Perhaps you’re down or anxious – maybe you’re unsure about the future, or just feel that you aren’t living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support.
Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery. Whether you’re trying to overcome a painful experience, a hard relationship, or going through anxiety and depression in daily life – I can offer a non-judgmental space of understanding. Some of my experience includes issues like anxieties, depression, self-harm, separation/divorce, bereavement, loss and grief; sexuality, gender difference and relationship problems. As well as developmental challenges, identity issues and neglectful or unhelpful relationships.
In therapy, we will visit past trauma as well as work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behavior. I will help you re-frame your experiences and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles. My intention is to create a safe and confidential environment where a therapeutic relationship can develop. From small scale circumstances, to traumatic experiences – services are personalised to suit each individual.
I am professionally insured and hold accreditation with the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP) and my fee is €50/1hr.
I am committed to an approach to therapy that deals with underlying causes of worrying behaviours. Troubling thoughts and overwhelming moods often interfere with a young person’s sense of well-being and capacity for emotional, social and intellectual development. If these problems do not resolve with time and support from parents, teachers, or friends, then professional assistance can be effective in supporting a young person to healthily cope.
Early adulthood can be a difficult time. Bringing with it many challenges and new situations that one can sometimes feel unequipped to deal with. Pressure in this life phase can often leave a person feeling overwhelmed and anxious as well as low in confidence. I strive to instill self-understanding and encourage you to adopt new attitudes and feelings towards relationships and life situations whilst making sense of past experiences in a confidential non-judgmental environment.
This is for new parents who are curious to understand more about postnatal adjustments. Many mothers and fathers feel overwhelmed by a mix of physical, hormonal and emotional challenges all the while learning the new skill of parenthood. Psychotherapy can give insight into recognising any unhelpful thoughts or beliefs in what it means to be a parent, address the physical trauma of labour, and discuss coming to terms with your new reality, all of which will assist in settling into the new role. I understand the difficulties in finding time for therapy during this life phase, and so, for this client group online therapy is available.
Whether you’re trying to overcome a painful experience, a hard relationship, or going through anxiety and depression in daily life – I can offer a non-judgmental space of understanding.
